Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RN - Cath Lab to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 4x10 Days at a leading Hospital in Eureka, CA. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide nursing care in the Cath Lab setting with daily caseload of 8-12 procedures • Perform coronary diagnostic and intervention procedures • Conduct peripheral diagnostic and intervention procedures • Assist with permanent pacemaker insertions • Maintain current BLS and ACLS certifications • Maintain valid ARRT certification and Fluoroscopy permit • Utilize Epic charting system for documentation • Work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year) • Work weekend shifts as required • Be available for call assignments • Complete required modules and training programs pre-start and annually • Float between sister facilities and affiliate hospitals as needed • Provide minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within comparable specialty/setting • Perform procedures including angioplasty, cardiac stent placement, cardioversion, and IABP placement/removal • Monitor procedural sedation and manage dysrhythmias • Administer blood products and IV vasopressors as needed • Operate specialized equipment for cardiac interventions • Maintain radiation and laser safety protocols • Complete required compliance documentation and certifications • Self-report time spent on non-billable training modules • Use facility-provided communication devices when required
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in CA
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
