Position Summary:

Key Responsibilities:
• Provide nursing care in the Cardiac Catheterization Lab for coronary and peripheral diagnostic and intervention procedures • Perform diagnostic cardiac catheterizations and interventional catheterizations for adult patients • Assist with coronary artery disease, peripheral vascular disease, and cardiac arrhythmia procedures • Circulate and scrub procedures as needed in the catheterization lab • Monitor patients during procedural sedation and administer sedation as appropriate • Assist with cardiac stent placement, angioplasty, and percutaneous coronary interventions • Support pacemaker insertion and programming of AICDs • Manage IABP placement/removal and Impella insertion procedures • Perform sheath removal and monitoring following catheterization procedures • Utilize vascular closure systems and external compression devices • Obtain and interpret 12-lead EKGs and monitor cardiac rhythms • Administer emergency medications, antiarrhythmics, and antihypertensives • Start and maintain IV access and administer IV vasopressors • Monitor pulmonary artery lines and manage ventilator patients when required • Document patient care and procedures using Epic charting system • Maintain radiation and laser safety protocols in the catheterization lab • Provide pre and post procedure patient care and education • Float between sister facilities and affiliate hospitals as assigned • Work weekends and be available for call as required • Work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year) • Maintain current BLS and ACLS certifications • Complete required pre-start and annual training modules • Provide minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within comparable specialty • Use facility-provided communication devices when required for assignment duties • Self-report time spent on non-billable training modules
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in CA
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
