Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate Ultrasound Tech - Ultrasound Tech to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 5x8 Days at a leading Hospital in Fortuna, CA. Key Responsibilities:
• Perform ultrasound examinations including abdominal aorta, appendix, biliary tract, breast, gallbladder, liver, pancreas, spleen, and pediatric abdomen/pelvis studies
• Conduct intraoperative ultrasounds and lung biopsy procedures
• Operate various ultrasound equipment including GE, Philips, Siemens, and SonoSite systems
• Perform portable ultrasound examinations as needed
• Provide ultrasound services for adult, emergency department, and ICU patients
• Utilize PACS system for image management and documentation
• Use Epic charting system for patient documentation and records
• Maintain current BLS and ARDMS certifications
• Float between sister facilities and affiliate hospitals as assigned
• Work on-call shifts when required
• Work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year)
• Complete required pre-start and annual training modules
• Provide minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within comparable specialty/setting
• Maintain valid California state licensure
• Self-report time spent on non-billable training modules
• Use facility-provided communication devices when required for assignment duties
• Adhere to facility dress code requirements (black scrubs for radiology department)
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in CA
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
