Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate Radiation Therapist - Radiation Therapist to join our growing clinician community. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide radiation therapy treatments to adult and geriatric patients with various cancers including breast, prostate, lung, and head/neck cancers
• Operate radiation therapy equipment including Elekta Synergy and Elekta Infinity systems
• Perform external beam therapy, IMRT, SRS, and SBRT procedures
• Conduct chart checks and ensure accurate treatment delivery
• Utilize Epic charting system for patient documentation
• Perform CBCT/kV/mV imaging and respiratory gating procedures
• Implement radiation safety protocols and procedures
• Provide patient and family education regarding treatment procedures
• Assist with simulation of treatment sites and treatment planning
• Handle emergency radiation therapy cases as needed
• Use specialized equipment including C-RAD and Mosaiq systems
• Maintain current BLS and ARRT T certifications
• Float between sister facilities and affiliate hospitals as required
• Work approximately 35 patient visits per day
• Complete required pre-start and annual training modules
• Provide minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment
• Work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year)
• Self-report time spent on non-billable training modules
• Utilize facility-provided communication devices when required
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in CA
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
