Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RN - OR to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 5x8 Days at a leading Hospital in Santa Rosa, CA. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide nursing care in operating room settings including general OR and ambulatory OR procedures • Perform ENT procedures including endoscopic sinus procedures, mastoidectomy/tympanoplasty/stapedectomy, septoplasty/rhinoplasty, and tonsillectomy/adenoidectomy • Assist with general surgery procedures including cholecystectomy, hernia repair, and mastectomy • Support gynecological procedures including dilation & curettage and laparoscopic assisted procedures • Participate in orthopedic procedures including arthroscopy, carpal tunnel release, and open reduction of fractures • Assist with urological procedures including circumcision, cystectomy, cystoscopy, and transurethral resection of the prostate • Support pediatric ENT procedures including myringotomy with tubes and tonsillectomy/adenoids • Provide care for patients across all age groups including adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics • Utilize Epic documentation system for patient charting and medical records • Float between sister facilities and affiliate hospitals as assigned • Maintain current BLS certification and obtain ACLS and PALS certifications as preferred • Work Monday through Friday schedule with primary hours 9:00am - 5:30pm and occasional 7:00am - 3:30pm shifts • Complete required pre-start and annual training modules averaging 16 hours • Self-report time spent on non-billable training modules with completion recorded in Workramp transcripts • Work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year) as required • Maintain valid state licensure and provide minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment • Utilize facility-provided communication devices when required for assignment duties • Complete 16 hours of orientation upon assignment commencement
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in CA
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
