Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate Nuclear Medical Technician - Nuclear Med Technician / Radiology to join our growing clinician community. Key Responsibilities:
• Perform nuclear medicine procedures including MIBG, octreotide scans, thyroid uptake and scans, thyroid ablation treatments, and whole body scans
• Conduct renogram procedures with and without Lasix and Captopril, including quantitative renal scans
• Execute bone scans including whole body, 3-phase, limited, and SPECT bone scans
• Perform parathyroid scans and lung perfusion/ventilation procedures
• Operate PET/CT equipment (Siemens) and nuclear medicine machines (E-CAM and Orbiter systems)
• Conduct cardiac stress tests including exercise, vasodilator (adenosine, lexiscan, dobutamine), and thallium scans
• Perform specialized scans including DAT scan, brain SPECT, HIDA scans, and MUGA scans
• Execute gastric emptying studies, GI bleed scans, and liver spleen imaging
• Start and maintain IVs for contrast administration and radiopharmaceutical injections
• Draw venous blood samples and perform phlebotomy procedures
• Utilize PACS system for image management and processing
• Chart procedures and patient information using facility systems
• Float between outpatient center and hospital as required
• Work with adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient populations
• Provide patient care and education during procedures
• Maintain current BLS certification and state licensure
• Complete required pre-start and annual training modules
• Work 3 out of 5 major holidays as assigned
• Provide 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of experience within comparable specialty
• Self-report time spent on non-billable training modules
• Use facility-provided communication devices when required for assignment duties
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in CA
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
