Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate Anesthesia Tech - Anesthesia Tech to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 3x12 Days at a leading Hospital in Portland, OR. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide anesthesia technology support for all adult surgical specialties except open heart and organ transplant
• Assist with cancer resection and reconstruction procedures in endovascular hybrid suite
• Perform cell salvage of RBCs and cell saving procedures
• Run point of care tests including ABGs, ACTs, and CBGs
• Set up arterial lines and hot lines for surgical procedures
• Assist with thoracic procedures including dual lumen tube insertion
• Support insertion of arterial lines, central lines, and lumbar drains
• Provide anesthesia support for multiple surgical specialties including cardiac, neuro, ortho, trauma, and vascular procedures
• Handle ambulatory OR procedures and emergency intubations
• Manage crash cart equipment and documentation
• Perform scope and probe reprocessing
• Work with pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient populations
• Take weeknight call one night per week from 2100-0600
• Work weekend call 1900-0700 every 5th weekend
• Complete 40 hours of orientation training
• Maintain required certifications including ACLS, ASATT, and BLS
• Utilize Epic charting system for documentation
• Float between sister facilities and affiliate hospitals as needed
• Complete required modules pre-start and annually
• Work 3 out of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• Maintain valid state licensure and certifications
• Provide 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of experience
• Use facility-provided communication devices when required for assignment duties
• Self-report time spent on non-billable training modules
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in OR
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
