Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RN - ICU to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 3x12 Nights at a leading Hospital in Portland, OR. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide direct patient care in the ICU setting with 2:1 patient ratios
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and dysrhythmias
• Manage ventilated patients and ventilator equipment
• Operate and monitor pulmonary artery lines and Swan Ganz catheters
• Provide care for patients requiring VV ECMO therapy
• Manage continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT)
• Care for ARDS patients including proning procedures
• Administer vasoactive intravenous medications
• Monitor patients with ventricular assist devices (VAD) and intra-aortic balloon pumps (IABP)
• Provide care for unstable post-catheterization lab patients
• Document patient care using Epic charting system
• Float between sister facilities and affiliate hospitals as assigned
• Work weekend shifts including every other weekend or more as needed
• Complete required pre-start and annual training modules
• Maintain current ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and CCRN certifications
• Provide 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of experience
• Work 3 out of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• Self-report time spent on non-billable training modules
• Use facility-provided communication devices when required
• Maintain valid state nursing licensure
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in OR
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
