Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate Echo Technologist - Echo Tech to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 5x8 Days at a leading Hospital in Mission Viejo, CA. Key Responsibilities:
• Operate cardiac ultrasound equipment to produce optimal echocardiographic images for diagnostic evaluation • Perform chamber measurements, blood flow characteristics assessment, and cardiac function evaluation • Provide echocardiographic services for neonate, pediatric, adult and geriatric patients • Work under minimal supervision while maintaining high quality standards • Perform adult echocardiograms and stress echoes • Conduct pediatric echocardiograms • Assist with TEE, TAVR, and Watchman procedures • Work rotating 8-hour shifts Sunday through Saturday • Be available for weekends and holidays as scheduled • Participate in adult call coverage one shift per week • Work 3 out of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day) • Float between facilities within the hospital system and to affiliate hospitals as needed • Maintain current BLS certification • Maintain either ARDMS or CCI RCS certification • Complete required pre-start and annual training modules • Self-report time spent on non-billable training modules • Provide 2 supervisory references covering 1 year within the last 3 years • Maintain valid California state licensure • Utilize Epic charting system for documentation • Use facility-provided communication devices when required for assignment duties
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in CA
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
