Position Summary:

Key Responsibilities:
• Provide nursing care in Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory performing coronary and peripheral diagnostic and interventional procedures • Perform diagnostic cardiac catheterizations and interventional catheterizations for adult patients • Assist with coronary angioplasty, cardiac stent placement, and percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI) • Support pacemaker insertion and programming of AICDs (Automatic Implantable Cardiac Defibrillators) • Monitor patients during procedural sedation and administer sedation as needed • Circulate and scrub procedures as required in the catheterization laboratory • Manage cardiac implant closure devices and vascular closure systems • Perform sheath removal and post-procedure monitoring • Obtain and interpret 12-lead EKGs and manage cardiac dysrhythmias • Administer emergency medications, antiarrhythmics, and antihypertensives • Assist with central line insertion and management, including PICC lines and implanted ports • Monitor patients with pulmonary artery lines/Swan Ganz catheters • Perform blood product administration and IV medication management • Support electrophysiology (EP) lab procedures and cardioversion • Maintain radiation and laser safety protocols during procedures • Document patient care and procedures using Epic charting system • Float between sister facilities and affiliate hospitals as needed • Work weekends and take call as required • Work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year) • Maintain current BLS and ACLS certifications • Maintain valid California RN license and required certifications including ARRT and Fluoro Permit • Complete required modules and training programs pre-start and annually • Provide minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within comparable specialty/setting • Utilize facility-provided communication devices when required for assignment duties • Self-report time spent on non-billable training modules to agency
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in CA
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
