Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate Respiratory Therapist - Registered Respiratory Therapist to join our growing clinician community. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide respiratory therapy services for patients across all age groups including neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics • Manage patients with COPD, asthma, trauma, overdoses, and COVID-19 conditions • Perform aerosol treatments using masks and tracheostomy setups • Administer medications including Albuterol, Atrovent, Combivent, Flovent, and other respiratory medications • Operate and troubleshoot ventilators including Puritan Bennett and Avea systems • Provide BiPAP, CPAP, and high-flow oxygen therapy • Perform arterial blood gas interpretation and analysis • Conduct pulmonary hygiene and airway management procedures • Assist with intubations, extubations, and bronchoscopy procedures • Provide tracheostomy care and management • Perform oral, nasal, and tracheostomy suctioning • Assist in high-risk deliveries and provide neonatal respiratory care • Wean patients from mechanical ventilation • Collect sputum specimens and perform basic EKG interpretation • Utilize Epic charting system for documentation • Work in emergency department and critical care settings • Operate specialized equipment including SVN, vents, BiPAP, bubble CPAP, and high-flow devices • Maintain current BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, and CRT/RRT certifications • Complete required pre-start and annual training modules • Work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year) • Float between sister facilities and affiliate hospitals as needed • Provide minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within comparable specialty/setting • Maintain valid state licensure and required certifications • Comply with facility policies and procedures for patient care delivery
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in CA
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
