Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RN - Outpatient Clinic to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 5x8 Days at a leading Rehab in Eureka, CA. Key Responsibilities:
• Support clinic operations including orders, medication refills, patient triage, and education
• Assist nurse practitioner and medical assistant during patient visits
• Collect data from consults and assist during patient examinations
• Perform phone triage and follow-up care for patients
• Complete authorization forms, disability forms, and insurance verification
• Conduct medication reconciliation and manage pharmacy calls for patient refill requests
• Obtain vital signs and complete patient health questionnaires, history, and allergy documentation
• Provide patient teaching and education, particularly for GI-related conditions
• Pre-screen patients for procedures including endoscopy and colonoscopy preparation and follow-up
• Schedule patient appointments and manage referrals
• Prepare charts and review imaging results
• Manage in-basket tasks and follow-up communications
• Provide general nutritional guidance for GI-specific diets
• Maintain current BLS certification
• Complete required modules and training programs pre-start and annually
• Utilize Epic charting system for documentation
• Provide minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within comparable specialty/setting
• Self-report time spent on non-billable training modules
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in CA
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
