Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RN - PACU to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 5x8 Days at a leading Hospital in Winston Salem, NC. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide pre and post-operative care for female patients aged 12 and older • Care for both inpatient and outpatient surgical cases • Maintain ACLS and BCLS certifications • Work Monday through Friday day shifts from 9:00-17:30 • Take call one time per week and additional call when needed • Float to other pre/post areas within the hospital or affiliate hospitals when required • Provide occasional weekend call coverage • Complete hospital and unit orientation during first week of assignment • Document patient care using Epic charting system • Utilize Pyxis medication system and SBAR communication • Complete required pre-start and annual training modules • Work 2 out of 3 major holidays • Maintain valid nursing license • Provide two manager/supervisor references from past 12 months • Adhere to fatigue policy of no more than 5 consecutive days or 60 hours per week • Complete compliance testing within 48 hours after contract signing • Maintain professional standards and follow facility policies
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in NC
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
