Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RN - L&D to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 3x12 Days at a leading Hospital in Santa Monica, CA. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide Labor and Delivery nursing care in antepartum, intrapartum, and triage settings • Monitor fetal heart rate and high-risk pregnancy patients • Assist with vaginal deliveries and circulate for cesarean sections • Perform sterile vaginal examinations as needed • Provide newborn care and resuscitation at delivery • Work in OR suite during cesarean sections with standard equipment • Float to postpartum unit when needed to provide couplet care (newborn and maternal) • Utilize Epic charting system for patient documentation • Maintain required certifications including ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, BLS, FHM, and NRP • Work every other weekend as scheduled • Commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day) • Complete required pre-start and annual training modules • Provide 2 supervisory references covering 1 year within last 3 years • Maintain valid California RN license • Float between facilities within the state as required • Adhere to strict privacy protocols for high-profile patients • Self-report time spent on non-billable training modules • Use facility-provided communication devices when required for patient care duties
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in CA
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
