Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RAD Tech - Interventional Rad Tech to join our growing clinician community. Key Responsibilities:
• Perform interventional radiology procedures including angioplasty, cardiac stent placement, carotid stenting, and embolization • Manage central venous access including non-tunneled lines, PICC lines, and port placement • Conduct diagnostic and therapeutic procedures such as liver biopsies, nephrostomy, and thoracentesis • Perform peripheral procedures, kyphoplasty, and upper and lower extremity angiography • Handle catheter and drain exchanges, dialysis graft interventions, and ureteral stent placements • Provide hemodynamic monitoring and manage chest tube placements • Operate specialized equipment for gastrostomy tube placement and IVC filter placement • Perform percutaneous procedures including transhepatic cholangiograms and transluminal coronary angioplasty • Handle outpatient contrast procedures and biopsies • Utilize PACS system for imaging management • Provide care for adult and geriatric patients with typical daily caseload of up to 6 patients • Take call 1-2 days per week including rotating weekends • Work 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day) • Float between facilities within the state as required • Complete pre-start and annual training modules averaging 16 hours • Maintain current ARRT certification, BLS, Fluoro permit, state licensure, and LA Fire Card • Self-report time spent on non-billable training modules • Use facility-provided communication devices when required for assignment duties • Complete 16 hours of orientation training • Provide 2 supervisory references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in CA
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
