Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate CT Technologist - CT Tech to join our growing clinician community. Key Responsibilities:
• Perform CT imaging procedures for outpatients and inpatients in a comprehensive stroke center environment
• Operate Philips Big Bore 16 and Brilliance 64 CT scanners
• Conduct various CT procedures including head, chest, abdomen, and pelvis scans with and without contrast
• Perform specialized procedures such as CT angiography, coronary CTA, and vascular imaging
• Execute 3D rendering techniques including maximum intensity projection, surface shaded displays, and volume rendering
• Support interventional radiology procedures including biopsies, drains, and ablations
• Prepare and administer contrast media as required
• Start peripheral IVs and perform venipuncture when needed
• Utilize Epic charting system for patient documentation
• Maintain PACS system for image storage and retrieval
• Follow radiation safety protocols and procedures
• Provide care for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient populations
• Work with isolation precautions when required
• Support emergency department CT imaging needs
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including IV teams, interpretation services, and rapid response teams
• Float between sister facilities within the state as required
• Work every other weekend and commit to working 3 out of 5 major holidays
• Maintain current ARRT with CT certification and BLS certification
• Complete required pre-start and annual training modules
• Provide two supervisory references covering one year of experience within the last three years
• Maintain valid state licensure and comply with background check requirements
• Self-report time spent on non-billable training modules
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in CA
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
