Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RN - Cath Lab to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 4x10 Days at a leading Hospital in Santa Monica, CA. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide nursing care in the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory for adult and geriatric patients • Perform diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures including left and right heart catheterizations, coronary angiograms, and angioplasty • Monitor and manage patients receiving IV vasopressors, antihypertensives, and thrombolytics • Assist with IABP placement and removal procedures • Administer and monitor procedural sedation • Monitor patients on ventilators and pulmonary artery lines/Swan Ganz catheters • Interpret and manage cardiac dysrhythmias • Assist with electrophysiological studies and arrhythmia ablations • Support stroke intervention procedures including coil and sphere embolizations • Operate specialized equipment including Acist injector, intravascular ultrasound, and Impella devices • Provide care for patients with ST and non-ST elevated MIs, chest pain, and cardiomyopathy • Handle emergency cases from the ER in addition to scheduled procedures • Maintain ACLS and BLS certifications • Complete required pre-start and annual training modules • Work mandatory weekend shifts and on-call rotations with 30-minute response time • Utilize Epic charting system for patient documentation • Work 3 out of 5 major holidays as required • Float between facilities within the state as needed • Provide 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of experience • Maintain valid state nursing license • Complete compliance documentation and background requirements
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in CA
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
