Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate Sleep Tech - Polysomnographer to join our growing clinician community. Key Responsibilities:
• Perform sleep studies including polysomnography for adult and pediatric patients • Maintain patient ratios of 1:2 for adults and 1:1 for pediatrics • Utilize Alice 6 G3 software and ResMed CPAP units • Conduct baseline sleep polysomnography, CPAP and BiPAP titrations • Perform Adult and Pediatric Multiple Sleep Latency Tests (MSLT) • Monitor and document cardiac abnormalities, respiratory events, and sleep stages • Administer oxygen and provide patient education on sleep therapy equipment • Score PSG studies and identify sleep disorders including sleep apnea and periodic limb movements • Operate specialized equipment including EEG, ECG, and End-Tidal CO2 monitoring • Maintain current BLS certification and valid state licensure • Complete required training modules pre-start and annually • Utilize Epic charting system for patient documentation • Float between sister facilities and affiliate hospitals as needed • Work every other weekend and night shifts as scheduled • Work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year) • Provide minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment • Adhere to infection control protocols and facility policies • Self-report time spent on non-billable training modules • Use facility-provided communication devices when required for patient care duties
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in CA
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
