Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate SLP - SLP to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 4x10 Days at a leading Hospital in Anchorage, AK. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide outpatient speech language pathology services for adult and geriatric patients • Conduct speech and language evaluations and assessments • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and care plans • Provide therapy for dysphasia, dysarthria, voice disorders, and communication impairments • Work with patients with CVA, traumatic brain injury, and degenerative diseases • Conduct modified barium swallow studies when applicable • Utilize augmentative and alternative communication devices and communication boards • Implement compensatory strategies and functional maintenance programs • Provide patient and family education on treatment plans and strategies • Complete documentation and charting in Epic system • Perform reassessments and discharge planning as needed • Participate in interdisciplinary team collaboration • Maintain current BLS certification and state licensure • Complete required pre-start and annual training modules • Work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year) • Provide minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within comparable specialty/setting • Float to affiliate hospitals as needed • Utilize facility-provided communication devices when required • Self-report time spent on non-billable training modules • Complete required compliance documentation and certifications
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in AK
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
