Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate Lab Specialist - MLT to join our growing clinician community. Key Responsibilities:
• Perform laboratory testing and analysis as a Medical Laboratory Technician
• Work 8 or 12 hour day shifts with rotating weekends and holidays
• Maintain current professional licensure and certifications
• Complete required vaccinations including COVID-19, MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, and Tdap
• Pass 10 panel drug screening and maintain fitness for duty
• Complete specialty specific competency testing and skills checklist
• Undergo tuberculosis testing (2 Step PPD or IGRA)
• Pass color vision testing requirements
• Complete physical and health statement documentation
• Adhere to code of conduct and integrity standards
• Maintain confidentiality of patient and proprietary information
• Complete Joint Commission testing and compliance requirements
• Undergo criminal background check and exclusion list screening
• Provide education verification and professional references
• Complete system access and security training
• Work shifts from 07:00 AM to 07:30 PM as scheduled
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in OH
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
