Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate MRI Tech - MRI Tech to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 3x12 Days at a leading Hospital in Portland, OR. Key Responsibilities:
• Perform MRI imaging procedures for inpatients, outpatients, and ER patients across all age groups including adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics • Conduct various MRI studies including brain, abdomen, chest, spine, extremities, and specialized procedures such as cardiac MRI, breast biopsy, functional MRI, and intraoperative imaging • Operate MRI equipment including GE and Siemens systems with surface coils and various imaging sequences • Prepare and administer contrast media as required for procedures • Start peripheral IVs when necessary for contrast administration • Perform image post-processing including apparent diffusion coefficient mapping, subtraction, maximum intensity projection, and multiplanar reconstruction • Utilize Epic charting system for documentation and PACS for image management • Work variable day shifts between 0700-1930 or 0930-2130 with weekend coverage as required • Maintain current BLS certification and state licensure • Hold ARRT (R)(MR) certification and fluoro permit • Complete required pre-start and annual training modules averaging 16 hours • Provide 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of experience within the last 3 years • Float between sister facilities and affiliate hospitals as assigned • Work 3 out of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day) • Self-report time spent on non-billable training modules • Use facility-provided communication devices when required for assignment duties
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in OR
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
