Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RAD Tech - Cath Lab to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 4x10 Days at a leading Hospital in Portland, OR. Key Responsibilities:
• Perform catheterization laboratory procedures as a Radiology Technologist • Maintain current ACLS and BLS certifications • Maintain valid ARRT certification and Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (OBMI) licensure • Perform accurate monitoring and interpretation of dysrhythmias • Assist with cardiac procedures including angioplasty, cardiac stent placement, and percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI) • Support left and right heart catheterization procedures • Assist with neurological procedures including carotid angiography, stroke thrombectomy, and cerebral coil embolization • Perform vascular interventions including angiography, stent placement, and embolization procedures • Assist with interventional radiology procedures including nephrostomy, thoracentesis, and paracentesis • Support structural heart procedures including TAVR/TAVI procedures • Function as room circulator and scrub technician maintaining sterile field • Recognize and respond to life-threatening arrhythmias • Utilize Epic charting system for documentation • Complete required modules and training programs pre-start and annually • Work on-call shifts including weeknights and weekends • Commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day) • Float between sister facilities and affiliate hospitals as needed • Provide 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within last 3 years • Complete 40 hours of orientation training • Maintain competency in departmental procedures across neuro, vascular, cardiac, interventional radiology, and structural heart specialties • Adhere to facility policies and procedures for patient care delivery
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in OR
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
