Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RN - Med Surg Tele to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 3x12 Nights at a leading Hospital in Winston Salem, NC. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide nursing care for adults and geriatrics on general medical floor with variety of diagnoses • Maintain 1:6 patient ratio during 12-hour night shifts • Interpret and manage dysrhythmias using telemetry monitoring • Administer blood products and provide central line care/management • Perform peripheral line care and management • Implement isolation precautions as required • Provide nasal cannula and non-invasive airway management • Utilize rapid response teams when needed • Document patient care using Epic charting system • Utilize unit systems including Pyxis, Epic, and SBAR communication • Float to other units within hospital or affiliate hospitals as needed • Work every other weekend as required • Work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year) • Complete 24 hours of unit orientation • Maintain current BLS and NIH certifications • Complete 8-10 hours of non-billable modules pre-start and annually • Adhere to fatigue policy of maximum 5 consecutive days and 60 hours per week • Provide two manager/supervisor references from within past 12 months • Maintain valid NC or Compact state licensure • Complete required compliance testing within 48 hours after signing • Participate in self-scheduling system confirmed by unit • Comply with navy blue scrub requirements • Pass EKG testing prior to start date
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in NC
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
