Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RN - Tele to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 4x12 Nights at a leading Hospital in Winston Salem, NC. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide nursing care for pre/post cardiac catheterization patients
• Manage pre/post PPM & AICD patients
• Provide care for Watchmen procedure patients
• Assist with stress tests
• Manage arterial and venous sheaths
• Provide care for TIA population
• Manage carotid stent patients
• Provide cardiac telemetry monitoring
• Manage cardiac arrhythmias
• Administer and monitor cardiac drips including Cardizem, Amiodarone, Renal Dose Dopamine, Lasix Drips, and non-titrating Nitro Drips
• Provide care for stable chest pain patients
• Manage NSTEMI patients
• Perform IV starts
• Monitor telemetry patients
• Maintain patient ratios of 1:5-6
• Float to similar units as needed
• Work in a 24-bed inpatient cardiac procedural unit
• Manage rapid patient turnover with average length of stay 1.8-2.4 days
• Work 12-hour night shifts
• Work 4 weekend shifts per each 6-week schedule
• Work 2 out of 3 major holidays
• Complete required modules and training programs pre-start and annually
• Pass EKG testing prior to start
• Maintain current ACLS, BCLS, and NIH certifications
• Complete compliance documentation within 48 hours after signing
• Adhere to fatigue policy limitations
• Maintain valid RN licensure
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in NC
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
