Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RN - Cardiac Tele to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 4x12 Days at a leading Hospital in Winston Salem, NC. Key Responsibilities:
• Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry rhythms and dysrhythmias
• Manage patients with various cardiac conditions requiring telemetry monitoring including chest pain, arrhythmias, pacemaker, or defibrillator
• Administer and monitor cardiac drips including Cardizem, Dopamine, dobutamine, milrinone, amiodarone, Lasix and heparin
• Provide nursing care for patients with cardiac conditions at a 1:5-6 patient ratio
• Collaborate with heart failure navigator for patient care coordination
• Utilize EPIC electronic health record system for documentation
• Operate Pyxis medication dispensing system
• Communicate using SBAR format for patient care handoffs
• Float to other telemetry units as needed based on census and patient care needs
• Work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year)
• Complete mandatory modules pre-start and annually (non-billable time)
• Pass EKG testing prior to assignment start
• Complete 36 hours of unit orientation
• Work weekend requirement of 4 weekend days in a 6-week time period
• Maintain current ACLS and BCLS certifications
• Comply with facility policies including fatigue policy and dress code requirements
• Complete required compliance documentation within specified timeframes
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in NC
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
