Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RN - Tele to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 3x12 Days at a leading Hospital in Winston Salem, NC. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide nursing care for patients with cardiac arrhythmias, MI, ACS, diabetes uncontrolled, DKA, heart failure, post heart catheterization, post PPM, and post ICD • Maintain 1:6 patient ratio in cardiac telemetry unit • Perform IV starts and telemetry monitoring • Interpret dysrhythmias and manage dysrhythmias • Administer cardiac drips (no blood pressure titration) • Maintain current ACLS, BCLS, and NIH certifications • Utilize PYXIS, EPIC, and SBAR systems for documentation and communication • Float to other units within hospital or affiliate hospitals as required • Work 36 or 48 hours per week in 12-hour day shifts • Complete 8 weekend shifts per assignment • Work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year) • Complete 8-10 hours of non-billable modules pre-start and annually • Participate in 3-day orientation including EPIC training • Comply with dress code requirements (navy or white scrubs) • Complete required compliance documentation within 48 hours after signing • Maintain valid RN licensure (NC or Compact) • Provide two manager/supervisor references from within past 12 months • Adhere to fatigue policy (no more than 5 consecutive days or 60 hours per week) • Participate in teamwork-focused environment without charge nurses on unit • Complete EKG testing prior to start date
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in NC
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
