Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RN - IMC to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 3x12 Nights at a leading Hospital in Wilmington, NC. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide direct patient care in IMC/Stepdown unit with telemetry monitoring
• Maintain 1:6-7 patient ratios during night shifts
• Interpret dysrhythmias and perform remote cardiac monitoring
• Provide pre/post cardiac catheterization patient care
• Provide pre/post cardiac surgery patient care
• Perform sheath removal procedures
• Access and manage ports for patient care
• Administer blood products safely
• Manage central line care and maintenance
• Manage PICC line care and maintenance
• Titrate cardiac drips including Diltiazem and Amiodarone
• Administer and monitor cardiac drips such as Dobutamine, Milrinone, and Dopamine
• Perform sheath pulls, TR bands, and Femstop procedures
• Care for patients with congestive heart failure and arrhythmias
• Utilize Pyxis medication system for drug administration
• Document patient care using EPIC electronic health record system
• Communicate effectively using SBAR format
• Float to other units within the hospital or affiliate hospitals as required
• Work every other weekend (5-6 weekend shifts per schedule)
• Work 2 out of 3 major holidays as required
• Maintain current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Pass EKG testing prior to assignment start
• Complete 24 hours of unit orientation
• Complete required non-billable training modules (8-10 hours)
• Report to work during storm team/hurricane team assignments
• Adhere to facility dress code requiring navy scrubs
• Follow fatigue policy limiting work to maximum 5 consecutive days or 60 hours per week
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in NC
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems [Epic, Cerner, etc. preferred]
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
