Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RN - OR to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 3x12 Nights at a leading Hospital in Wilmington, NC. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide nursing services as a Registered Nurse in the Operating Room specialty • Circulate in surgical procedures including Neuro, Robotics, General, GYN, and Urology • Maintain current BCLS certification • Work 3x12 hour night shifts with 1:1 patient ratios • Take call requirements of 1-2 12-hour shifts every 2 weeks • Float to support inpatient units as needed • Work weekends as scheduled • Support multi-specialty inpatient, outpatient, and emergent surgical procedures • Assist with procedures including Cardiothoracic, General, Vascular, Neurosurgery, Orthopedic, Urology, EENT, OB/GYN, Plastics, OMF, Trauma, Dental, Pediatric, Neonatal, Endoscopy, and Organ harvesting • Utilize PYXIS medication system and EPIC documentation system • Participate in self-scheduling process with manager approval • Complete 24 hours of unit orientation • Perform charge role responsibilities as needed • Complete required non-billable modules pre-start and annually • Maintain valid state nursing licensure • Comply with fatigue policy limiting work to maximum 5 consecutive days and 60 hours per week • Work 2 out of 3 major holidays as required • Float between facilities and affiliate hospitals based on census and skill sets
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in NC
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems [Epic, Cerner, etc. preferred]
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
