Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RN - Cardiac Tele to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 3x12 Nights at a leading Hospital in Wilmington, NC. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide cardiac telemetry nursing care for patients with diagnoses including congestive heart failure, arrhythmias, and post cardiac catheterization • Monitor cardiac patients using telemetry and remote monitoring with interpretation of dysrhythmias • Administer and titrate cardiac drips including Dobutamine, Amiodarone, Cardizem, Milrinone, and Dopamine • Provide pre and post cardiac catheterization care and pre and post cardiac surgery care • Perform sheath removal procedures using TR Bands and Femstop devices • Access ports and manage central lines and PICC lines • Administer blood products as required • Maintain patient ratios of 1:6-7 patients • Document patient care using Epic charting system • Use Pyxis medication dispensing system and SBAR communication protocols • Float to other units within the hospital or affiliate hospitals as required • Work night shifts in 3x12-hour schedule format • Work 5-6 weekend shifts per contract period • Maintain current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications • Pass EKG testing prior to assignment start • Complete 24 hours of unit orientation • Complete required pre-start and annual training modules • Participate in Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team assignments during catastrophic events • Report to work during mass casualty events or disasters as required • Adhere to self-scheduling protocols and fatigue policy requirements
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in NC
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems [Epic, Cerner, etc. preferred]
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
