Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RAD Tech - Interventional Rad Tech to join our growing clinician community. Key Responsibilities:
• Perform interventional radiology procedures including angioplasty, aortography, embolization, and endograft placement
• Conduct IVC filter placement and removal procedures
• Perform various angiographic procedures including mesenteric, pelvic, and renal angiography
• Execute stent placement and carotid stenting procedures
• Manage central venous access and port placement
• Perform dialysis graft creation, revision, and interventions
• Conduct upper and lower extremity angiography
• Perform thrombolysis and thrombectomy procedures
• Operate and maintain Siemens equipment during procedures
• Utilize PACS system to access and review imaging
• Scrub into endovascular cases to assist surgeons
• Operate c-arm equipment in open vascular surgery rooms
• Maintain accurate patient monitoring throughout procedures
• Set up and prepare equipment for procedures
• Prepare patient access sites according to protocols
• Maintain sterile field and sterile technique throughout procedures
• Utilize vascular closure systems including Perclose and StarClose
• Implement appropriate isolation precautions as required
• Maintain and stock procedural supplies and inventory
• Document procedures using Epic charting system
• Participate in on-call coverage one night per week and every third weekend
• Work every third weekend as scheduled
• Complete required orientation and training modules
• Maintain current ARRT certification with RT credentials
• Participate in storm team or hurricane team assignments when required
• Float between units and affiliate hospitals as needed based on census and facility requirements
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in NC
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems [Epic, Cerner, etc. preferred]
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
