Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate Surgical Tech - Endoscopy to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 4x10 Days at a leading Hospital in Anchorage, AK. Key Responsibilities:
• Perform endoscopy technical procedures including EUS, EBUS, ERCP, ION, Colonoscopy, and Bronchoscopy • Set up and operate specialized endoscopic equipment including endoscopes, bronchoscopes, colonoscopes, EGD scopes, and ultrasound scopes • Handle and maintain electrosurgical units, forceps, polyp snares, and other procedural instruments • Perform high-level disinfection (HLD) of equipment and instruments • Process, clean, and sterilize instruments according to infection control protocols • Collect and handle pathology specimens and gastric brushing samples • Participate in Universal Protocol time-out procedures • Restock room supplies and close rooms at end of day • Maintain current BLS certification • Utilize Epic charting system for documentation • Float between hospital units and affiliate hospitals as needed • Work on-call shifts every 5th weekend • Work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year) • Complete required pre-start and annual training modules • Provide minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within comparable specialty • Maintain valid state licensure • Adhere to facility policies and infection control procedures • Self-report time spent on non-billable training modules • Use facility-provided communication devices when required for duties
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in AK
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
