Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RN - L&D to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 4x12 Nights at a leading Hospital in Santa Rosa, CA. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide labor and delivery nursing care with minimum 2 years of L&D experience
• Maintain current ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, and NRP certifications
• Provide nursing care for neonates and adults in LDRP setting
• Manage patient ratios of 1:3 during all shifts
• Perform triage of obstetrical patients
• Conduct sterile vaginal examinations
• Place and calibrate intrauterine pressure catheters (IUPC)
• Maintain central lines (CVC/PICC)
• Administer anticoagulation therapy, antihypertensives, and insulin drips
• Manage magnesium sulfate therapy
• Circulate for C-section procedures
• Provide high-risk antepartum care
• Implement isolation precautions and proper PPE usage
• Document patient care using Epic charting system
• Float between sister facilities and affiliate hospitals as assigned
• Work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year)
• Complete 36 hours of orientation
• Complete required pre-start and annual training modules
• Provide minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within comparable specialty
• Maintain valid state nursing license
• Self-report time spent on non-billable training modules
• Utilize facility-provided communication devices when required
• Demonstrate strong precepting skills when applicable
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in CA
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
