Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate Ultrasound Tech - Ultrasound Tech to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 5x8 Days at a leading Hospital in Lubbock, TX. Key Responsibilities:
• Perform ultrasound and vascular imaging studies (approximately 8 studies per day)
• Conduct transcranial doppler examinations when required
• Operate various ultrasound equipment including GE, Philips, Siemens, and SonoSite systems
• Perform specialized vascular studies including carotid, aorta, arterial graft studies, arterial mapping, dialysis grafts, lower extremity arterial and venous studies
• Conduct duplex and doppler studies with color flow imaging
• Evaluate stents and perform arterial mapping procedures
• Utilize PACS system for image management and documentation
• Work variable on-call shifts as needed
• Work weekend shifts as required
• Maintain current BLS certification
• Maintain vascular certification (CCI RVS, RDCS - RVT)
• Complete required training modules pre-start and annually
• Commit to working 3 out of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• Float between sister facilities and affiliate hospitals as needed
• Provide minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment
• Maintain valid compact state license
• Complete required compliance documentation and background checks
• Self-report time spent on non-billable training modules
• Utilize facility-provided communication devices when required for assignment duties
• Adhere to facility dress code requirements
• Follow established protocols for patient care and imaging procedures
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in TX
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
