Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RN - Tele to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 3x12 Nights at a leading Hospital in Lubbock, TX. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide telemetry nursing care for adults and geriatric patients with 1:4.5 patient ratios • Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and dysrhythmias using telemetry equipment • Administer and manage cardiac drips and vasoactive drips with titration responsibilities • Provide pre and post cardiac catheterization care including sheath removal • Manage patients with various diagnoses including CHF, NSTEMI, COPD, sepsis, and pneumonia • Perform blood product administration and manage heparin protocols • Provide care for patients with chest tubes, central lines, and PICC lines • Monitor patients on continuous bladder irrigation and manage feeding tubes • Administer oxygen therapy including high flow nasal cannula and CPAP/BIPAP • Interpret arterial blood gases and manage patients in isolation precautions • Provide wound care and manage surgical drains • Perform phlebotomy and maintain peripheral IV access • Document patient care using Epic charting system • Participate in rapid response and code team situations • Float between sister facilities and affiliate hospitals as assigned • Work 3 out of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day) • Complete required pre-start and annual training modules • Maintain current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications • Provide 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of experience within comparable specialty • Maintain valid compact state nursing license • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, and physical therapy • Adhere to facility dress code requiring solid navy blue scrubs for licensed nursing personnel
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in TX
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
