Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RN - Tele to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 3x12 Nights at a leading Hospital in Lubbock, TX. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide telemetry nursing care for adult and geriatric patients with diagnoses including CHF, AMS, NSTEMI, COPD, sepsis, pneumonia, and other medical/surgical conditions
• Maintain patient ratios of 1:4.5 to 1:5 depending on shift assignment
• Perform cardiac telemetry monitoring including interpretation of dysrhythmias and management of cardiac drips
• Provide post cardiac catheterization care and manage patients receiving cardiac interventions
• Administer and monitor blood products, manage central lines, PICC lines, and peripheral IV access
• Utilize Epic charting system for all patient documentation and care coordination
• Manage patients requiring oxygen therapy including nasal cannula, high flow nasal cannula, and CPAP/BIPAP
• Provide care for patients with chest tubes, feeding tubes, tracheostomies, and surgical drains
• Administer medications including titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips as ordered
• Monitor and interpret arterial blood gases and implement appropriate interventions
• Participate in rapid response and code team activities as needed
• Maintain current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Float between sister facilities and affiliate hospitals as required by assignment
• Work weekend shifts as required (6 out of 6 weeks) and commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays
• Complete required pre-start and annual training modules averaging 16 hours
• Provide 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of experience within comparable specialty setting
• Maintain valid compact nursing license and comply with all regulatory requirements
• Utilize facility-provided communication devices when required for patient care duties
• Self-report time spent on non-billable training modules and maintain completion records
• Adhere to facility dress code requiring solid navy blue scrubs for licensed nursing personnel
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in TX
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
