Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RN - Tele to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 3x12 Nights at a leading Hospital in Lubbock, TX. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide telemetry nursing care for adult and geriatric patients with 1:4 patient ratio
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and dysrhythmias
• Manage cardiac and vasoactive drips with titration capabilities
• Administer blood products and monitor chemotherapy patients
• Provide care for renal failure and renal transplant patients
• Manage central lines, PICC lines, and peripheral IV access
• Perform chest tube management using Emerson/PleurEvac systems
• Provide tracheostomy care and non-invasive airway management
• Administer oxygen therapy including high flow nasal cannula and CPAP/BIPAP
• Interpret arterial blood gases and manage insulin protocols
• Provide pre/post cardiac catheterization and hemodialysis care
• Manage patients with pacemakers (temporary and permanent)
• Provide wound care including wound vac management
• Perform phlebotomy and maintain IV access
• Utilize Epic charting system for documentation
• Maintain current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Float to other IMC units within scope of practice as needed
• Work every other weekend and commit to 3 out of 5 major holidays
• Complete required pre-start and annual training modules
• Provide 2 supervisory references covering 1 year within last 3 years
• Maintain valid compact state nursing license
• Participate in rapid response and code team activities
• Follow isolation precautions and infection control protocols
• Manage patients with seizure disorders and substance withdrawal
• Provide care for surgical patients including total joint replacements
• Use facility-provided communication devices when required
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in TX
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
