Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RN - OR to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 4x10 Days at a leading Hospital in Salem, OR. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide operating room nursing care for various surgical procedures including orthopedic, neurological, cardiovascular, gynecological, urological, and trauma cases • Maintain current BLS certification and obtain ACLS and CNOR certifications as required • Demonstrate proficiency with Epic charting system for documentation • Work variable shifts including weekday scheduled shifts (10-12 hours), weekday night call shifts (8 hours), and weekend scheduled/call shifts • Participate in up to 6 call and/or weekend shifts per 6-week schedule • Float to affiliate hospitals as needed, including West Valley Hospital • Operate and maintain surgical equipment including Da Vinci Xi Surgical System, electrosurgical units, fiber optic equipment, and sterilization systems • Assist with robotic surgeries including colorectal, gastrointestinal, gynecologic, and urologic procedures • Perform circulating and scrub duties for trauma cases in Level II trauma center environment • Adhere to infection control protocols, fire safety, laser safety, and radiation safety procedures • Implement Universal Protocol and Time Out procedures for patient safety • Handle surgical specimens according to facility protocols • Provide care for patients across all age groups including pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics • Complete required pre-start and annual training modules (non-billable time) • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team including IV teams, interpretation services, and rapid response teams • Maintain valid Oregon CNA license and obtain Oregon RN license as required • Complete 30-hour orientation program upon assignment commencement
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in OR
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
