Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate Pharmacist - Pharmacist to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 4x10 Days at a leading Hospital in Napa, CA. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide pharmacist services in acute care hospital setting with 200 staffed beds
• Work variable start times between 6:30 AM to 8:30 PM with weekends and weekdays rotation
• Float between sister facilities and affiliate hospitals as needed
• Maintain current BLS certification and valid state licensure
• Utilize Epic charting system for pharmaceutical documentation
• Manage antibiotics, anticoagulation therapy, cardiac dosing, and cardiovascular medications
• Handle chemotherapy, clinical dosing, compounding, and high-alert medications
• Perform sterile technique for IV preparations and TPN mixers
• Conduct therapeutic medication monitoring and pharmacokinetic dosing
• Manage pediatric, geriatric, and renal dosing protocols
• Work with Pyxis medication dispensing systems
• Handle inventory reports and override reports
• Provide pharmaceutical care for adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year)
• Complete required modules and training programs pre-start and annually
• Provide minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within comparable specialty/setting
• Self-report time spent on non-billable training modules
• Use facility-provided communication devices when required for assignment duties
• Comply with facility dress code and policies
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in CA
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
