Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate OT - Therapy Rehab to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 5x8 Days at a leading Hospital in Napa, CA. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide occupational therapy services to adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients in outpatient and acute rehabilitation settings
• Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations and assessments including cognitive, adaptive equipment, and functional assessments
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and plans of care for patients
• Provide therapy for various conditions including CVA rehabilitation, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, hand injuries, arthritis, and neurological disorders
• Perform activities of daily living training and safety/injury prevention education
• Assess, fit, and train patients on adaptive equipment and assistive devices
• Create and adjust dynamic and functional splints as needed
• Conduct wheelchair evaluations and positioning assessments
• Provide patient and family education on treatment plans and home exercise programs
• Complete discharge planning and pre-discharge assessments
• Document patient care and progress using Epic charting system
• Conduct regular reassessments and modify treatment plans as appropriate
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team including physical therapy staff
• Float between acute rehabilitation unit and other inpatient floors as needed
• Work one weekend day (typically Sunday) every other weekend
• Work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year)
• Maintain current BLS certification and valid state licensure
• Complete required pre-start and annual training modules
• Provide minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within comparable specialty/setting
• Utilize facility-provided communication devices when required for patient care duties
• Self-report time spent on non-billable training modules
• Adhere to facility policies and procedures including dress code requirements
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in CA
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
