Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate CT Technologist - CT Tech to join our growing clinician community. Key Responsibilities:
• Perform CT and X-Ray imaging procedures with variable start shifts of 7am or 11:30am
• Conduct CT scans including abdomen, chest, head, and pelvis with and without contrast
• Perform brain perfusion studies, CT arthrography, and vascular CTA procedures
• Execute portable X-ray examinations and C-Arm procedures
• Perform fluoroscopy studies including GI and enema studies
• Conduct extremity imaging for upper and lower extremities
• Assist with OR cases including pacemaker and orthopedic procedures
• Perform biopsies, aspirations, and drainage procedures
• Prepare and administer contrast media as required
• Start peripheral IVs when necessary
• Utilize multiplanar reconstruction (MRP) and PACS systems
• Provide imaging services for emergency department patients
• Handle approximately 80 exams per day across the imaging department
• Serve patients across all age groups including adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics
• Float between sister facilities and affiliate hospitals as needed
• Utilize Epic charting system for documentation
• Maintain current ARRT R, BLS, and Fluoroscopy Permit certifications
• Work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year)
• Complete required modules and training programs pre-start and annually
• Provide minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within comparable specialty/setting
• Self-report time spent on non-billable training modules
• Utilize facility-provided communication devices when required for assignment duties
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in CA
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
