Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate CT Technologist - CT Tech to join our growing clinician community. Key Responsibilities:
• Perform CT and X-Ray imaging procedures with variable start shifts at 7am or 11:30am • Conduct CT scans including abdomen, chest, head, and pelvis with or without contrast • Perform brain perfusion studies and CT arthrography procedures • Execute specialized procedures including biopsies, drainage procedures, and myelography • Administer and prepare contrast media for imaging studies • Start peripheral IVs when required for contrast administration • Operate imaging equipment including Philips CT scanners and C-Arm machines • Perform portable imaging and fluoroscopy studies • Conduct orthopedic and musculoskeletal trauma imaging • Utilize multiplanar reconstruction (MPR) techniques • Perform vascular CTA imaging studies • Handle emergency department imaging requests • Conduct outpatient and inpatient imaging procedures • Perform OR cases including pacemaker and orthopedic procedures • Operate C-Arm equipment during surgical procedures • Conduct GI studies including enemas and colonography • Perform thoracentesis and paracentesis procedures • Utilize PACS system for image management and storage • Document procedures using Epic charting system • Provide imaging services for patients across all age groups including pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics • Float between sister facilities and affiliate hospitals as required • Work collaboratively in a moderately busy full-service imaging department • Maintain ARRT R certification and BLS certification • Obtain and maintain fluoroscopy permit • Complete required training modules pre-start and annually • Work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year) • Provide minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within comparable specialty • Maintain valid state licensure and required certifications • Utilize facility-provided communication devices when required • Self-report time spent on non-billable training modules • Comply with facility dress code requirements
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in CA
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
