Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RN - Oncology to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 5x8 Days at a leading Rehab in Mooresville, NC. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide medical oncology nursing care in collaboration with physicians
• Perform IV starts and maintain intravenous access
• Conduct patient triage and assessment
• Deliver outpatient nursing care to adult patients
• Care for patients with hematology, oncology, and supportive care diagnoses
• Utilize Epic charting system for patient documentation
• Apply SBAR communication protocols
• Float between multiple infusion centers in the greater Charlotte area as needed
• Perform phlebotomy procedures
• Maintain current BLS certification
• Complete required pre-start and annual training modules
• Provide patient education and support
• Follow isolation precautions protocols
• Work Monday through Friday day shifts
• Maintain professional standards and facility policies
• Provide supervisory references covering recent employment experience
• Complete compliance documentation and certifications
• Adhere to fatigue policy regarding maximum work hours and consecutive days
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in NC
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
