Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RAD Tech - Interventional Rad Tech to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 5x8 Days at a leading Hospital in Salisbury, NC. Key Responsibilities:
• Assist provider while performing diagnostic/interventional radiology and cardiology procedures
• Scrub and circulate IR/Cath Lab procedures and cardiology procedures
• Maintain sterile field during procedures
• Perform EKG lead placement
• Handle urgent/emergent cardiology and interventional radiology procedures
• Work with combo lab (IR/Cardiology/Vascular/EP) with 90% IR procedures
• Operate specialized equipment including GE MAC Lab, Philips iFR/IVUS, Canon and GE Labs, Angio Jet, and other interventional devices
• Respond to callback within 30 minutes for STEMIs
• Work as part of three-member call team including one RN
• Maintain current ACLS, BCLS, and ARRT or RCIS certifications
• Complete weekday call coverage twice a week for 2 weeks per month (16:00-07:30)
• Complete weekend call coverage one weekend per month (Friday 16:00-Monday 7:30)
• Work every third weekend
• Work 2 out of 3 major holidays
• Complete 40-80 hours of unit orientation
• Complete required pre-start and annual training modules (8-10 hours non-billable)
• Adhere to fatigue policy of no more than 5 consecutive days or 60 hours per week
• Provide care to adult and geriatric patient populations
• Handle device implants including PPM and ICD procedures
• Complete required testing within 48 hours of assignment start
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in NC
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
