Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RAD Tech - Cath Lab to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 5x8 Days at a leading Hospital in Salisbury, NC. Key Responsibilities:
• Assist provider while performing diagnostic/interventional radiology and cardiology procedures
• Scrub and circulate IR/Cath Lab procedures and cardiology procedures
• Maintain sterile field during procedures
• Perform EKG lead placement as needed
• Work primarily with interventional radiology cases (90% of workload)
• Handle urgent/emergent cardiology and interventional radiology procedures
• Respond to STEMI callbacks within 30 minutes
• Work as part of a three-member team with minimum one RN
• Operate specialized equipment including GE MAC Lab, Philips iFR/IVUS, Canon and GE Labs
• Utilize advanced equipment such as Angio Jet, Pneumbra, EKOS, Inari, CSI Atherectomy System
• Work with IABP, Impella, and various ultrasound units
• Maintain current ACLS and BLS certifications
• Maintain valid ARRT or RCIS certification
• Complete required modules pre-start and annually (8-10 hours for acute care roles)
• Work every third weekend
• Participate in call coverage twice a week for 2 weeks per month (weekday call 16:00-07:30)
• Take weekend call once a month (Friday 16:00-Monday 7:30)
• Work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year)
• Adhere to fatigue policy (no more than 5 consecutive days or 60 hours per week)
• Complete orientation requirements (40-80 hours)
• Comply with dress code requirements using provided scrubs
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in NC
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
