Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate OT - Therapy Rehab to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 5x8 Days at a leading Hospital in Medford, OR. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide occupational therapy services to inpatients in rehabilitation unit with occasional floating to all inpatient units (clinical decision unit, ICU, telemetry, med-surg), surgical units (same day unit and short stay unit), and emergency department
• Conduct patient assessments and evaluations for adults and geriatrics
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and care plans
• Provide adaptive equipment assessment and training for adult and pediatric patients
• Perform functional capacity evaluations and functional independence measures (FIM)
• Deliver specialized care for various conditions including CVA rehabilitation, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, amputee care, arthritis, dementia/Alzheimers, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson's disease, and other neurological disorders
• Provide patient and family education on treatment plans and home exercise programs
• Conduct home assessments and pre-discharge planning
• Perform reassessments and progress evaluations
• Implement safety and injury prevention protocols
• Utilize feeding techniques and lifting/transfer methods as needed
• Document patient care using Epic charting system
• Maintain current BLS certification and state licensure
• Complete required pre-start and annual training modules
• Float between sister facilities and affiliate hospitals as required
• Work one regular weekend shift per week
• Commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• Provide 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of experience within comparable specialty/setting
• Self-report time spent on non-billable training modules
• Utilize facility-provided communication devices when required for assignment duties
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in OR
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
