Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate Ultrasound Tech - Ultrasound Tech to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 4x10 Evenings at a leading Hospital in Santa Rosa, CA. Key Responsibilities:
• Perform ultrasound examinations including 1st, 2nd, and 3rd trimester obstetric scans • Conduct abdominal, pelvic, and vascular ultrasound studies • Perform specialized procedures including breast ultrasounds, carotid studies, and Doppler examinations • Execute ultrasound-guided biopsies and fine needle aspirations • Provide imaging services for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patient populations • Utilize PACS system for image storage and retrieval • Document examinations using Epic charting system • Float between hospital and outpatient center as required • Work variable evening and night shifts from 2pm-11:30pm and 10:30pm-7am • Complete approximately 8-10 examinations per shift depending on exam complexity • Work every other weekend as scheduled • Maintain current BLS and ARDMS certifications • Work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year) • Complete required pre-start and annual training modules • Provide minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within comparable specialty • Maintain valid state licensure • Adhere to facility dress code requirements (black scrubs for imaging technicians) • Self-report time spent on non-billable training modules • Utilize facility-provided communication devices when required for assignment duties
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in CA
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
