Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RN - L&D to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 3x12 Nights at a leading Hospital in Santa Rosa, CA. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide nursing care for labor and delivery and post-partum patients in LDRP setting • Maintain patient ratios of 1:3 across all shifts • Perform sterile vaginal exams and triage of obstetrical patients • Circulate for C-sections and assist with facility births (200-300 per month) • Manage high risk antepartum patients and administer Magnesium Sulfate therapy • Use and calibrate IUPC (Intrauterine pressure catheter) placement • Maintain central lines (CVC/PICC) and administer insulin drips • Administer anticoagulants and antihypertensives as prescribed • Implement isolation precautions and use appropriate PPE • Utilize Epic charting system for all documentation • Float between sister facilities and affiliate hospitals as required • Maintain current ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, and NRP certifications • Work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year) • Complete required modules and training programs pre-start and annually • Provide minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within comparable specialty/setting • Maintain valid California state nursing license • Self-report time spent on non-billable training modules • Use facility-provided communication devices when required for assignment duties • Comply with facility dress code requirements for L&D unit
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in CA
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
