Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate MRI Tech - MRI Tech to join our growing clinician community. Key Responsibilities:
• Perform MRI imaging services for inpatient, outpatient, and emergency department patients • Conduct all body cases including abdomen, chest, extremities, and pelvis imaging • Perform neurological MRI cases including brain, spine, and functional MRI procedures • Execute cardiac MRI (CMR) examinations • Assist with MRI-guided breast biopsy procedures • Provide intraoperative MRI imaging support • Perform pediatric MRI imaging across all age groups from neonates to geriatrics • Prepare and administer contrast media when required • Start peripheral IVs as needed for contrast administration • Operate MRI equipment and utilize surface coils appropriately • Perform various MRI sequences including T1 and T2 weighted images, spin echo, and gradient echo imaging • Conduct specialized imaging including MRA, MRV, MRCP, diffusion, perfusion, and spectroscopy studies • Perform image post-processing including ADC mapping, subtraction, MIP, and multiplanar reconstruction • Document patient information and procedures using Epic charting system • Maintain PACS system for image storage and retrieval • Follow isolation precautions and infection control protocols • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including IV teams, interpretation services, radiology, rapid response teams, and transportation • Maintain current BLS certification and state licensure • Complete required pre-start and annual training modules averaging 16 hours • Self-report time spent on non-billable training modules • Provide 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment experience • Float between sister facilities and affiliate hospitals as required • Work variable shifts including days, evenings, and weekends as scheduled • Commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day) • Utilize facility-provided communication devices when required for work-related duties • Submit monthly cell phone bills to agency when personal device is used for work purposes • Maintain acute care hospital experience and large facility experience standards
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in OR
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
