Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate Radiation Therapist - Radiation Therapist to join our growing clinician community. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide radiation therapy treatments to oncology patients with daily caseload of 25 patients per day
• Operate Varian 21 EX/iX equipment for external beam radiation therapy
• Utilize ARIA system for treatment planning and patient management
• Perform tumor localization and treatment setup procedures
• Create and use custom molds, shields, and blocks for patient positioning
• Execute IMRT (Intensity Modulated Radiotherapy) treatments
• Conduct CBCT/kV/mV imaging for treatment verification
• Apply B-Mode Acquisition targeting techniques
• Use compensation filters and wedges as required for treatments
• Calculate and verify radiation dose calculations
• Utilize Pinnacle (Philips) and Eclipse (Varian) treatment planning systems
• Implement isolation precautions and radiation safety protocols
• Use lift/transfer devices for patient positioning and mobility
• Document patient care and treatments in EPIC charting system
• Respond to rapid response/code team situations as needed
• Maintain current BLS and ARRT (T) certifications
• Complete required pre-start and annual training modules
• Float between facilities within the state as required
• Provide minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment
• Self-report time spent on non-billable training modules
• Use facility-provided communication devices when required for assignment duties
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in CA
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
