Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate Radiation Therapist - Radiation Therapist to join our growing clinician community. Key Responsibilities:
• Operate Siemens CT equipment daily with confidence and work setting experience
• Provide radiation therapy services for approximately 25 patients per day
• Maintain current BLS, ARRT, and ARRT (T) Radiation Therapy certifications
• Maintain valid CA State License
• Utilize ARIA skillset for treatment planning and delivery
• Operate Varian 21 EX/iX equipment proficiently
• Perform adult acute care radiation therapy procedures
• Create and utilize custom molds and custom shields
• Conduct tumor localization and block cutting procedures
• Execute B-Mode Acquisition targeting techniques
• Perform CBCT/kV/mV imaging procedures
• Apply compensation filters and wedges as needed
• Calculate appropriate radiation doses
• Utilize Pinnacle (Philips) and Eclipse (Varian) treatment planning systems
• Administer External Beam Therapy and IMRT treatments
• Operate lift/transfer devices safely
• Follow isolation precautions protocols
• Maintain strict radiation safety standards
• Participate in Rapid Response/Code team procedures when required
• Complete required modules and training programs pre-start and annually
• Float between facilities within the state as assigned
• Provide minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within comparable specialty/setting
• Self-report time spent on non-billable training modules
• Use facility-provided communication devices when required for assignment duties
• Chart using EPIC system (preferred experience)
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in CA
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
