Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate CT Technologist - CT Tech to join our growing clinician community. Key Responsibilities:
• Perform CT scanning procedures for patients of all age groups including neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics • Operate CT equipment including CANON Acquilion One scanner • Perform venipuncture and start peripheral IVs as required • Prepare and administer contrast media for various CT studies • Conduct CT scans of head, chest, abdomen, pelvis, cervical spine, lumbar spine, and other anatomical regions with and without contrast • Perform specialized CT procedures including brain perfusion, coronary angiography, calcium scoring, and vascular studies • Utilize 3D rendering techniques including maximum intensity projection, surface shaded displays, and volume rendering • Perform multiplanar reconstruction (MPR) and region of interest measurements (ROI) • Document patient care and procedures using Epic charting system • Maintain radiation safety protocols and practices • Work with PACS system for image management and storage • Provide care in emergency department, ICU, and trauma settings • Maintain current ARRT CT certification, ARRT R certification, and BLS certification • Maintain valid California state license • Obtain and maintain LA Fire Card within 30-day requirement • Float between facilities within the state as required • Work weekend shifts including 2 weekends per month • Work 3 out of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day) • Complete required pre-start and annual training modules • Provide 2 supervisory references covering 1 year within last 3 years • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team including respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, and rapid response teams • Follow isolation precautions and infection control protocols • Self-report time spent on non-billable training modules • Comply with facility policies and procedures for patient care delivery
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in CA
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
